Hi, I'm Tonka,(as in toy, but I kept growing !) & I'm a small miniture Silver Poodle. Although my Mum is technically Tasmin, I tend to refer to Sam being my Mum as she is the one that feeds & walks me most of the time.

My mum tries to avoid products tested on animals, but she didn't think twice about testing these hol cols out on ME! The collars were tested on me as I am the roughty toughty member, so if the hol col could stay on me through bushes, puddles, etc for weeks, she knew it was good.

Sooty was chief tester for comfort, if he wasn't comfortable wearing it in his sleep it wasn't going on any other oldie either, but this one passed that test too. (many didn't)

I am really loving my hol col, as it means I get to go to lots more places so that people can see me wearing it. Mum is always trying to bring awareness to people that their dogs aren't always wearing the correct information on holiday to enable them to be returned, people keep saying "It's O.K. my dog is chipped", & they think this is some kind of magic chip that will get their dog back to them, wherever they are staying, but mum tells them, the chip only holds the information that the owner has given the chip company, (which maybe years old) nothing else, they need to tell the chip company of any changes. They can always pay for an upgrade on the chip, so they can update information many times, but it is the LAW that dogs must also wear VISABLE contact details as well.

Well, where do I begin, it's all been happening here, you may remember back last Easter a stay dog, literally trying to get under our gate (wanting to join us "Mutley Crew" of course) he even got to come on holiday with us until his owner was found, Mum was upset at the time as he had had a great time with us & was going back to a life living outside.

Then our dear brother Sooty died recently, Well Mum was in a terrible state, we all new how close those two were, we know we are all loved dearly, but Sooty & Mum were rarely apart, I think Sooty only lived for so long because he didn't want to be parted from her either, he did celebrate his 18th Birthday first though ! Then..... we think Sooty left a parting gift, cause out of the blue we were told that the owner of that little stray NOW wanted to give him to us !!!

Rocky, Just look at that face.....as if butter wouldn't melt !!!  mmmm

Well we were all amazed by this news,  so now we have little "Rocky" our newest member to our growing crew. He's settled in REALLY well, a little too well if you ask me, I have been very kind to him, but does Mum have to keep giving him little treats & cuddles every time she thinks I'm not watching, I know he was a bag of bones & needs feeding up, but not on MY treats thank you. He even jumps of Dad's lap for a cuddle, even when I'm already there !! honestly, I have the patience of a saint, but I know Mum appreciates this in me, as she still say's I'm her special boy, but I have to step it up now Soots gone, for tiny little paws, he has left very big boots for us all now to fill !!

We've just got back from a little show at Pets at Home. Mum decided to enter my Brother Dobby in the veterans class & he came 2nd place !

Well done Bruv.

Vida was in a couple of classes, but when the vet/judge went to inspect her teeth, she was having non of it, as it wasn't long ago they took out lots of her teeth, she thought they were coming for the rest ! don't blame her, I'd have been worried too.

Vida has settled in soo well, we play all the time now, she is wearing me out ! Mum says "what did I used to do before she came along".....sleep.  In the words of Forest Gump, we are like peas & carrots !

We have some great news ! 

We have another addition to the "Mutley Crew".... meet Vida

Vida (Spanish for Life) is nearly 9yrs & is a Chihuahua X Yorkie.

She has worn her hol col for the first week of joining us, so that she had our land line on her tag & Mum's mobile on the hol col, just in case she tried to wander off !

But mum needn't have worried, she has settled right in...

& why wouldn't she ! we have had stray dogs literally try to get under the gate "to get in" they so badly want to become a member of the "Mutley Crew"! well it's me they really want to see ! 

I have made Vida feel welcome, as she had lost her doggie friend at her last home, & she was getting depressed & her teeth were hurting her, so she has now got that sorted & feeling much better. She loves coming out for walks with us & has even played with me. Mum says Vida has a soft spot for me, but I'm not letting on I know.

We have just returned from the fun dog show at HULA, we all went & Mum entered Sooty in to the Veteran section... & he won 1st place, Mum is soo happy & proud, well he is nearly 18 yrs old.

 

Even Freckles wanted to get in on the picture !

Then Zac wanted to see what a 1st looked like ! we've never had one before !

We have just had a wonderful break in Wales, we were very happy to find a small beach that us dogs  were allowed on.

Lots of people stopped to say hello to us & ask about our great hol col's

They also kept commenting on how well behaved we were, mum says it's because we are family & we stick together & we take special care of our sister Lily as she can't see now. (she's the one on the left, seemingly looking the other way !)

We went to the Companion Dog Show, Freckles Won 3rd place in the seniors.

We haven't told Sooty !

Mum has had loads of problems getting a picture of me doing my agility !!

On the last lesson she got one of me up high, but that was on my second attempt !

The first, I jumped off half way & Mum caught me mid air !!!

I won't be going to anymore agility for a while, but if you want to give it a go, why not visit their website, if you live in the area, & see if you can get as good as me !

My Brother Sooty has been celebrating his 17th Birthday ! Mum puts his food up higher for him, so he doesn't have to bend down so far to eat !
